3 BIG Announcements

Here it goes. . . my 3 BIG Annoucements and what it means for YOU:

1. I completed my masters of science (MS) degree in human nutrition at IMG_6455_square editColorado State University. This means that I am in the process of studying and will be taking the RD (Registered Dietitian) exam in the next month or so.

What this means for YOU?

Once I pass the RD exam, I will be incorporating Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) into my existing practice along with the holistic nutrition, health coaching, and functional nutrition services I already offer to clients. MNT includes a comprehensive nutrition assessment, a nutrition intervention using evidence-based guidelines, and monitoring and evaluating progress over a series of visits. Incorporating MNT into my existing practice will allow me to treat a number of acute and chronic diseases such as GI disorders, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases with nutrition. Since my scope of practice will be increased and I will be licensed as a healthcare professional, I will be able to provide you a superbill for potential insurance reimbursement for certain health conditions.

2. We’re expecting a baby boy in July.

What this means for YOU?

Since I’m no longer in school full time and have completed the 1300+ supervised practice hours required to become an RD, I will have increased availability during the week. This means that I will better be able to accommodate your schedule with appointments no matter what time zone you live in. After the baby is born in July, I will have limited hours for the first few weeks, then will increase my client hours to more than before. So. . . if you’ve been waiting for some magical time to improve your health through real food nutrition, now is the time.

3. We’ve moved to Ithaca, New York. Yes, we agree. . . Ithaca is Gorges.

What this means for YOU?

My husband and I very recently relocated from Fort Collins, Colorado to Ithaca, New York to be closer to family and water (it rains in Ithaca, a lot). The majority of clients in Fort Collins and throughout the country prefer to work with me via Skype or phone. . . even if we’re in the same city. How I work with clients will be changing very little with the exception that I am now on east coast time (EST).

Okay, so that was a LOT of big announcements on my end. I want to hear from YOU and how I can support you better moving forward.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take 1 minute or less to complete this ultra-brief 6 question survey!
