Shakeology 3 Day Cleanse

Cleansing is really important this time of year! As the weather warms, your diet will start shifting from heavy winter foods to lighter summer foods. Getting rid of the excess fat, protein, and toxins stored in your body is really important so it doesn’t hang around all year to create inflammation. Why use Shakeology to help cleanse your body? Remember, cleansing is a 3-part process:

Here are the details. For three consecutive days, follow these directions carefully to get the best results:

Daily Regimen: width=
1 cup of green tea to start the day and/or 1 cup hot water with lemon juice from ½ fresh squeezed
1 scoop Shakeology (140 calories) with 8 oz. water and ice to taste
1/2 cup of fruit (60 to 90 calories)—optional
1 piece of fruit (apple, pear, orange, etc.) (~85 calories)
1 scoop Shakeology (140 calories) with 8 oz. water and ice to taste
1 cup of green tea or a detox tea
Snack: (either before or after dinner)
1 scoop Shakeology (140 calories) with 8 oz. water and ice to taste
Large salad with grilled white meat (fish or poultry) (~340 calories)
OR 3 servings of leafy green vegetables plus 4 oz. of grilled white meat (fish or poultry)
2 tablespoons of oil/vinegar dressing (no more)

Here are some additional tips:

  • Drink half your body weight in ounces of pure filtered water each day
  • Fruit is optional- you can have up to 2 pieces of fruit per day depending on your needs
  • Do not consume any dairy (including almond or rice milk) or sugar (other than fruit) for all 3 days
  • This cleanse is designed as an active cleanse meaning you are expected to continue your exercise regimen while on the cleanse, however you may notice that you have lower energy and prefer to stick to lower intensity exercise during the cleanse
  • For maximum results, do NOT take in any food or drink that is not in the daily regimen above
  • If you experience constipation during the cleanse or want to maximize the benefits, mix 1 tbsp ground psyllium husk in 2 oz water and drink before breakfast each morning
