Parties, Potlucks, and Picnics- What to Make?

Oh boy! Graduation season has officially arrived. As have all of the wedding showers, baby showers, Memorial Day parties, family picnics, and informal get-togethers.

Figuring out what to make if you’re the host or what to bring if you’re a guest can be a bit daunting, especially if you’re on a healthy lifestyle journey and eating a real food diet. Not planning ahead by making and/or bringing healthy food to the dish-to-pass style event is a recipe for. . . not eating healthy food that fits your goals.

If you’re looking for inspiration or ideas on what to make for the next event you’re attending, check out Pinterest. Here, people from all over the world are constantly adding and curating recipes and ideas that match exactly what you’re looking for. For example, here are 3 of my Pinterest boards (click the link to see on Pinterest):

While its true that Pinterest can be a bit of a black hole if you’re not looking for something specific, looking at photos of what other people have created is a great way to generate your own ideas (and Pinterest boards if you’d like). My “Real Food Party & Potluck Ideas” Pinterest board is a great place to start.

There are so many great ideas and recipes on Pinterest. . . the next time you’re trying to figure out which healthy dish to make or bring, I encourage you to check it out.

If you’re already on Pinterest or start an account, please Follow me. I’d LOVE to Follow you too so we can share recipes, ideas, and healthy eating inspiration!
